  3. Next, under the “Sound & Voice” section, select the “Muted” option.

  1. To mute voice guidance while driving, open Google Maps and start your navigation.
  2. When the navigation starts, tap the speaker icon.
  3. Select the “Muted speaker icon” option to temporarily disable voice navigation.
  4. Tap the speaker icon again to unmute voice guidance.

  1. To turn off voice guidance during phone calls, open the Google Maps app on your phone and tap your profile picture.
